“I am deeply attached to you, but did not know to what extent until you left. I miss you, almost painfully. Not only are you one of the most admirable people I know but you are one of those people who enrich the existence of those around them, and who leave a big emptiness behind them.”—Simone de Beauvoir (via loveless-people)
“Some people turn sad awfully young. No special reason, it seems, but they seem almost to be born that way. They bruise easier, tire faster, cry quicker, remember longer and, as I say, get sadder younger than anyone else in the world. I know, for I’m one of them.”—Ray Bradbury, Dandelion Wine (via wordsnquotes)
“You can go through life and make new friends every year - every month practically - but there was never any substitute for those friendships of childhood that survive into adult years. Those are the ones in which we are bound to one another with hoops of steel.”—Alexander McCall Smith, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency (via hqlines)
What I mean by that is when someone says, so much bad is in this world, so much bad stuff is happening in this world, what they don’t realize is that we humans are the reason for it. No animal is having wars, no animal is chopping down trees. No animal is building weapons, bombs, we, us humans are. We are the reason, we are the bad of which we talk about.
